Led by The Greenway Foundation and NES, the May 2022 COS Creek Plan (Fountain Creek Watershed Vision & Implementation Plan) builds upon nearly 40 pre-existing studies and plans of the Fountain and Monument Creek corridors within El Paso County. The vision plan collectively views the creek as systems in need of habitat and water restoration, improvements to stormwater management, floodplain control and improvements, and recreation opportunities. The plan focuses on a nearly 7 mile corridor, which includes 5 new parks and project areas: Monument Valley Park and Centennial Neighborhood, College Landing at Uintah, America the Beautiful Park, Drake Waterfront Reimagined, and Gateway Park South.
