NES led the design for the Greenways Park at Sand Creek project which transformed a former golf course property into a vibrant community park. The design integrates natural features and recreational spaces to create a welcoming and sustainable environment. Central to the project is the repurposing of the existing irrigation pond, which now serves as a scenic amenity with safe edging to ensure visitors can enjoy its beauty securely.
Key features of the park include a pavilion for gatherings and events, a children’s playground to promote active play, and a walking/running track for exercise and leisure. Hammock posts are also incorporated to encourage relaxation and outdoor enjoyment. The park’s thoughtful design blends natural elements with modern recreational needs, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of the surrounding community while enhancing the ecological value of the space. This redevelopment not only provides a new public green space but also emphasizes sustainability by reusing existing resources. Greenways Park will be a community hub for outdoor activity, relaxation, and social interaction, offering something for people of all ages.
