On a bright morning, the NES team headed to Hardings Nursery Tree Farm. Brooks, Yani, and Shahrzad were there to tag trees for the Paloma Gardens Independent Senior Living Apartment Community. Working with Studio Completiva and VOA (Volunteers of America), the team was excited about this project near Valley Hi Golf Course, where 127 new dwelling units are being built and set to open this fall.

At the nursery, they carefully selected trees that would enhance the community’s outdoor spaces. These include community gardens, a dog park, a central lawn with seating areas, a smoking shelter, and sculptures. Each tree was chosen to provide shade and beauty for the future residents.

As the team tagged each tree, they could see how Paloma Gardens would soon become a vibrant and welcoming place for seniors to live and enjoy their surroundings.
