In the spirit of teamwork, collaboration and community, NES staff joined Nunn Construction and Downtown Partnership for a tour of downtown’s Art on the Streets (AOTS) exhibits. The 26th annual AOTS exhibit features six murals and seven sculptures. NES and Nunn Construction enjoyed hearing about the various artists, their work and the meaningful ways the art is incorporated into downtown.
From a landscape architecture and construction standpoint, the pieces sparked great conversation as to how and why certain locations were chosen, as well as how the art was installed. Each piece of art creates a placemaking aspect important to public space design.
Relationships are key to community, and NES staff was delighted to share in the AOTS adventure with Nunn and Downtown Partnership!
