Meridian Ranch Parks
Meridian Ranch is a master-planned community known for its recreational lifestyle.
The community offers miles of trails throughout the development, numerous neighborhood parks, a community recreation center, and the challenging Antler’s Creek Golf Course. N.E.S. Inc. designed the community to highlight the countless recreational opportunities.
Several drainage corridors within the property were used for the alignment of Antler Creek Golf Course. Bridges were used as a design element as a part of community theming These bridges helped create an entry statement along the roadway while allowing storm water, golf cart traffic, and pedestrian trails to circulate below. Pedestrian circulation required that the golf cart path and the regional trail be separate.
The first two built parks within Meridian Ranch, Greens Park and Fairway Heights Park, are part of an overall planned parks system encompassing eight neighborhood parks, one 25-acre community park, and many miles of trails linking the neighborhoods to the park sites. These two parks are intended to be multi-purpose spaces allowing for a wide array of recreational activities. Both regional & smaller community trails circulate through the development. Multi-modal street trails, separate bicycle lanes, intimate creek-side trails, and even equestrian designed trails are all part of the system.
